This detail page shows several photos of the book to show what a first edition looks like.  The images are original photos taken of my personal copy of the first edition book. 

Three Trumps (1973):

• The dustjacket has some unique features:
• The front flap has the price ($6.95) at the top and "0473" near the bottom. 
• The back flap has four lines of printing (publisher address and information) right above where it says "Printed in USA". 
• The back cover has "Viking Press" and "SBN 71031-8" on it and is all green.
• The title and copyright pages are NOT different between the two editions, as far as what is printed on them.  I have provided the two editions side-by-side so you can see the diffrences in the paper.
• The first edition book cover is dark green with gold lettering on the spine, very similar to the book club edition.
• I have included an animated GIF file that compares many of the relevant points for a clearer understanding.
• The first edition is slightly thicker (.1") than the book club edition
